Do I need a finished manuscript to reach out?
Not at all. Many authors come to us with just an idea. The earlier the better. We can help you build the right foundation from the start.
How long does the publishing process take?
It depends on where you're starting and which service tier you choose. A full-service project from manuscript development through launch typically takes four to eight months. If your manuscript is already written, the production and launch timeline is usually two to four months.
Do I have to write a faith-based book to work with Amblewood Press?
No. While faith-based publishing is our deepest area of expertise, we welcome authors writing memoir, business and leadership books, self-help, family legacy books, and inspirational nonfiction of all kinds.
Will I own my book once it's published?
Yes, completely. You retain 100% of your rights. Amblewood Press is a hybrid publishing partner, not a traditional publisher. We handle the production; you own the work.
What is hybrid publishing, and how is it different from self-publishing?
With self-publishing, you manage every part of the process yourself and hire vendors independently. With hybrid publishing, you have a single experienced partner guiding the entire process, editorial, design, formatting, and distribution, while you retain your rights and a larger royalty share.
What does the discovery call cost?
Nothing. The discovery call is completely free and carries no obligation. It's simply a conversation to help us both determine if we're the right fit for each other.
